Rosetta Flashback
Recently, I finally opened and unpacked a moving box—the one I packed seven years and two moves ago. Inside, I found an award from The Arthur C. Clarke Foundation that I received back in 2014 for my contribution to the Rosetta mission. It moved me deeply as it brought back good memories.

I worked at the European Space Operations Centre for more than a decade, but the years I spent on the Rosetta mission are among my most vivid memories. This project was not only incredibly challenging, but also a lot of fun—and, let’s be honest, totally cool. After all, we did land on a comet (kind of).
Rosetta is definitely one of the greatest achievements of the European Space Agency to date. Don’t just take my word for it—ask your friendly AI about it!

I still can’t shake the feeling of how privileged I was to be part of this mission. I’m grateful for those good years, the things I learned, and the friends I made along the way.
Here are a few snaps from that time—back when phone pictures still sucked. Remember those days?
